Ne-yo! That seems to be the word on everyone’s lips. Guyanese have apparently become awe-struck with this musical icon and are anxiuosly preparing for his legendary performance billed for the Guyana National Stadium on August 21.
The venue is currently being equipped with International Sound and Lights to complement Ne-yo’s performance and organizers are efficiently completing preparations to make this the greatest show of the year.
Aside from his performance, Ne-yo will also make the day of one lucky person who will be chosen as his number one fan. Applications are pouring in and Guyanese male and female, young and old are fighting for the cahnce to win this incredible opportunity. One person begged for the opportunity to meet Ne-yo while explaining that his music had assisted them therapeutically when they were on the brink of committing suicide! Another made an amazing digital collage with Ne-yo’s picture which formed the shape pf a heart to further depict their love for the artiste. The top ten applications will be shortlisted and Ne-yo himself will be choosing the winner. The individual will also be able to bring along a guest to share the experince.
Ne-yo and this team will arrive in Guyana on the morning of Friday August 20th and the showsown will be at the Guyana National Stadium on August 21st.
Patrons will also enjoy perfomrances by Guyanese songstress Timeka Marshall and Soca sensation Jomo.
