Wildfire Entertainment – Temperature Time

GyptianWildfire Entertainment is on fire for the much anticipated Temperature concert this weekend which features Jamaican chart toppers Tarrus Riley and Gyptian live at the National Park.

Word from the team is that all systems are at go for a successful staging and as at last evening Tarrus Riley was scheduled to touch down in Guyana while Gyptian is scheduled to arrive Saturday out of St. Maarten. Jonathan Beepat the promotion’s CEO said Gyptian is currently enjoying an extremely busy schedule working virtually every day of the week! But assured, “he (Gyptian) will be here, (in Guyana) and ready to perform”.  An exclusive all white reception will be broadcasted live on NCN on Saturday from 16:00hrs-17:00hrs, where patrons will can get the exclusive first look Tarrus and Gyptian.”  Tickets are $2,500 and on sale at Beepats, Medicare, White Castle Fish Shop, Giftland Officemax and Nanda’s Boutique.

Beepatt noted that while the tickets have a misprint that says Thirst Park BUT the event will be held at the National Park.

Security the group assures will be extra tight as the Guyana Police force have made mention that they will be searching everyone and will have a no tolerance policy on all illegal items/activities. People are urged not to walk with any firearms or weapons. Security will also be provided by a private firm and 6 self generated lights provided by star party rentals will be placed around the venue to light up the dark areas. When asked why the National Park Warren Williams, Event manager, said that “…it is the only hard surface venue in Guyana for a concert. If our event were at any other venue, the previous rainfall would have made the grounds soft and muddy. We chose this venue as we are in the parts of rainy season and we want to ensure the people have a comfortable and enjoyable show.” The Temperature show is definitely carrying the heat as it is the most talked about event for the weekend. Vijay Panday added, “The Temperature concert is going to be the biggest and hottest reggae show of the summer as both Tarrus Riley and Gyptian are on top.

They reiterate that even though there are many events planned for this Caricom weekend, Temperature concert will be carrying the heat! Start your Caricom holiday weekend and summer right with the hottest concert!”

Wildfire Entertainment – Press Release

TemperatureWildfire Entertainment’s heat for the Temperature Concert has reached boiling point! The final tally for the texting promotion is in and Wildfire Entertainment’s CEO, Jonathan Beepat, has made a very special announcement, “We are very pleased with the response from all of our supporters in the texting promotion.  In the end, it was Gyptian who had the most texts and is, technically, the winner. However, since Tarrus Riley was very close behind in the number of texts received, we realize that many fans in Guyana want to see Tarrus as well. All of our events is a WE ting, and so we have decided to give everyone their desire and bring both artists! Therefore, the Temperature concert will be featuring Tarrus Riley AND Gyptian! Wildfire Entertainment would like to thank everyone for participating and making it a WE ting!”

The concert will be held on July 3rd at the National Park. The early bird tickets were available for a short period and are already sold out. Regular Tickets are now $2,500 and are available at Beepats, Giftland Officemax, White Castle Fish Shop, Nanda’s Boutique, and the venue on the night itself. Wildfire is advising persons to buy tickets in advance as the gate price will be $3,000 and also would save them from having to stand in line to get tickets. Also, patrons are asked to purchase the tickets from official ticket outlets. There will be a VIP area for the event and these tickets will be limited and available through promotional activities of our sponsor partners. Sound PA will be provided by Slingerz international sound which has a brand new power system built for large capacity arenas. CEO of Slingerz, Javed Ali says, “We are happy to be the selected P.A. system for the Temperature concert and will not disappoint the expected huge crowd.

Our new system was built on December 25 2009 and we have played at our Christmas Village night which featured Ding Dong, and our Anniversary at Joe Veira Park which featured the mighty Stone Love out of Jamaica. We are more than confident to be able to provide adequate sound and power for the event and the people can expect to have a great time with no fault of sound quality.” Light and stage gears will be provided by the Brutal Tracks Company who are also veterans in providing quality lighting and stage gears as they have done many events.
Warren Williams, Wildfire event manager, stated, “We have always ensured that our events are well secured and this one is no different. We have employed the police and a private security firm to handle the security aspect and we will also be providing secure parking for patrons.”

The local artists are Spidaman out of the Wildfire camp, and Mystic and Ilaman out of Brutal Tracks Recording Studio. Also being introduced to Guyana are two new Guyanese artists Eva blazin and Dublin. Dublin is a new addition to the Wildfire camp and holds promise. Musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by Stereosonics, Slingerz and Trendsetter. Our partners for the show are BTV2, Giftland Officemax, and our diamond sponsor Digicel, Guyana’s bigger better network. WE hope to see all the fans of the artists and Wildfire at the event to jumpstart the summer. The Temperature for the summer was rising, but now, with both Tarrus Riley and Gyptian on the concert, and who have great hits individually, it has just reached boiling point!

Launch of Wildfire Entertainment

WildFire EntertainmentJust about two and a half years ago, Jonathan Beepat conceptualized the company Wildfire Productions. The aim was to create an entertainment and media production company to improve the quality of output from both fields. Now, the company has grown to a stage where it has garnered enough support and able to become separate entities with different clients under each.

Our entertainment unit has faced trials but was able to overcome them, manage and develop. Our group is a very tight knit one and it is with this unity and trust we are able to survive and continue. Since 2007 we have managed and effectively executed 11 local concerts, 2 concerts in Canada, over 15 sports events (dating from 2002), 3 VIP parties, and 1 school show. The team is led by Jonathan Beepat as the CEO and Creative Director who holds a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Management; VP of operations Jermaine Softley, who holds a diploma in Business Management and Telecommunications and Event managers Vijay Panday, Warren Williams and Andrew Sukrah.

Wildfire Entertainment (W.E.) is focused strictly on entertainment. The creative acronym W.E. was specifically created to compliment our company Wildfire Entertainment, because it is a company that is for you, for me, jus fuh we. We are not merely promoters like other entities, W.E. are event managers. When we put on an event, many are involved – emcees, artists, sound systems, individual promoters, entertainment websites, security firms, bartenders, porters, and most importantly, fans and patrons. Hence the reason it is called W.E., because many of us are involved. Our intention is also to use part

of our profits from each event to help benefit our society in some way, whether it is a donation to a school, or installing a needed item in a community. The contribution will always depend on the success of the specific W.E. event. Our services for Wildfire Entertainment include artist management, artist promotion, music distribution, Concert hosting, Event management and planning, international artist booking, and music production among other things.
Since its inception, W.E. has been recognized by major corporations and hired to manage their events. Some of our prestigious clients include Digicel where we managed D’Bimmer Flex events in summer 2009 when Digicel gave away 2 BMW’s. More recently W.E. was contracted by the ICC World 2020 cricket to create the concept and manage the party stand for the cricket held in Guyana.
We are not affiliated with any company and we work with all. Our services are available to anyone or corporation who wishes to have quality events planned, managed and executed.

All through the world event management is a serious business and now we feel we have enough resources and experience to develop on this niche market and give Guyana a reliable and effective event planning Entertainment Company. Since Wildfire Entertainment is aimed at giving people quality and reliable events, involving so many different entities and people for an event, contributing to the non-partying community after events, we feel our slogan fits well when we say… “IS A W.E. TING!”

Ignition Concert Post Report -WildFire

As we have just concluded our IGNITION CONCERT for 2008 we would like to give an official statement about the event and some of the occurrences at the end of the show. As the production company controlling this event we accept and take blame that there was some disorder during the main and final act Bounty Killer due to the sound & light company technical difficulties. We wish to clarify what happened and make it clear as to why things unfolded the way they did.

There are international news stories that have reported incorrectly based on a certain newspaper’s spin on the concert. We are not saying that there wasn’t a problem that caused a chain reaction of events, but there needs to be some clarity as to what happened since the reporter was very inadequate in doing her job. She has made statements quoting from us when she has never officially spoken to any representative from Wildfire Productions.
First of all there were no major problems for the night until the sound & light company had severe problems with their equipment. This happened about 20 minutes into Bounty Killer’s performance. The entire sound and lights shut down due to negligence on their part. Bounty Killer showed extreme patience and sat on the stage and waited for the power to return. It came on again for approximately 10 minutes which Bounty hyped the crowd only for the sound company to lose power again. Bounty, unlike his usual self, sat down on the stage again to show the Guyanese people that he had no intention of giving a short performance nor intended to leave. When the sound was back up again Bounty apologized for them and asked the people to please be patient and that these things happen. The crowd was with Bounty all the way, but then the sound went down for a third time. At this time it was 2:05 a.m. and the police said it was cut off time as they did not see the sound getting back up again efficiently. At this time Bounty was instructed to leave the stage, and this upset the patrons there as they wanted more of Bounty Killer. This frustration led to bottles being hurled at the stage in protest of Bounty coming off prematurely. One newspaper made it appear that bottles were thrown at Bounty Killer because of his lyrics and performance but this was not the case. As we can report the bottles were hurled as a result of the power outage from the sound system so many times, and for the fact that people did not get to see the main act Bounty Killer which they wanted to see.

As there was no power for the emcee to call for order on the mic, the police took matters into their hands and fired off some warning shots to disperse the crowd and to stop the bottle throwing before someone got hurt. This worked effectively as the bottles stopped immediately and the crowd exited the venue. People left safely as there were no reports from the hospital of injuries the next day.

While the problems that were encountered are not the direct fault of Wildfire Productions we do accept some amount of responsibility. We understand that we need to be more stringent with our suppliers such as the sound & light company since they have caused us much embarrassment and potential danger for not being efficient with their equipment. Also, the bar service that were serving beverages deterred from our agreement and sold them from the bottles instead of plastic cups. This was totally unacceptable and they too had endangered persons there. However, as this has already happened we can only implement a more strict and severe penalty clause on suppliers who do not work efficiently and accordingly to our instructions.

We would like to thank the thousands of fans who came out to the Ignition Concert and as reports had it, they enjoyed themselves thoroughly with the exception of the ending part of the show. We once again apologize for the chain reaction of events that occurred and will work harder to ensure that it doesn’t repeat itself.

Special emphasis has been placed on security as National Park does have its weaknesses in the perimeter. However special security consultants have been contracted and measures are in place to ensure that the venue is well secured. The police have been very co-operative in advising about the necessary precautions to take. They have also expressed their stringent no tolerance attitude towards firearms and unruly patrons. No drinks or food will be allowed into the venue as there will be food and beverage franchises selling same. There will be two security checkpoints, and anyone entering the venue MUST have an OFFICIAL ticket. The entrance will be the Eastern gate on Thomas Land road. VIP ticket holders will have an exclusive VIP Parking in the National Park itself with the entrance from Carifesta Avenue, but VIP Patrons MUST have a VIP ticket to be able to get through security from Carifesta Avenue.

Due to popular demand, we will be having a morning show dubbed “The PRE-IGNITION Matinee Show” featuring QQ at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. We have had many requests from parents of/and students alike as many would not be allowed to attend the evening concert as it is catered for adults. In reacting to the demand we have decided to organize and execute a show for this crowd. QQ will be the feature artist with Guyanese artists such as Jory, Gialiani, Typheon, Ilaman, Mystic and Young Fyah performing. Tickets are $800 VAT inclusive for children and $1,200 for the adults who need to accompany the underage children.

Patrons are URGED to buy their tickets early and get in the venue so as not to miss the show. Gates will be open at 7pm and the show starts PROMPTLY at 9pm with the Brutal Jammers warming up followed by Ilaman, Mystic, Typheon, Gialiani, and then Jory. The International segment will commence at 11 pm starting with QQ followed by Wayne Wonder and Bounty Killer. We thank you and hope you are all there to come and Ignite Guyana with us on Saturday!

Wildfire Productions Team

Ignition Concert

Wildfire Productions is committed to our role in developing the entertainment industry and so we are set to ignite with our first concert for 2008 with other concerts to follow.

This being our first concert for 2008 we chose the name Ignition as it is our startup concert, so to speak, for other concerts we have planned for the year. People are already familiar with our last concert of 2007 THE INFERNO CONCERT and can expect just the same quality and better planning and promotions surrounding the IGNITION CONCERT from Wildfire Productions. The IGNITION will be featuring some of the best artists in the business such as the legendary Bounty Killer, the ladies man Wayne Wonder, and the youngest dancehall star QQ.

What to expect

If people did not get into the partying mood for 2008 then this is their ignition. We have chosen artists we feel will give high quality and entertaining performances for the different likes of reggae music. QQ being the youngest should not be confused with inexperience. He has quite a number of songs including the dancehall hits Stukie and Tek it to dem. His stage performance is unreal and many will be surprised when they see this young fireball burst unto the stage. Wayne Wonder’s lover’s rock will definitely have the ladies crooning down memory lane and the fellas going back to the good ol’ days. But Wayne, being the veteran he is, has maintained with the dancehall scene and like a true veteran grew with it. His new album has current hits that play in the dancehall and radio. He is known for classics such as Saddest Day, Live and Learn, Excess amount of Loving, and newer hits such as Anything goes, Hold me now, Exposed, Bounce Along, No Letting Go, and the list goes on!

Then there is the legendary and mighty Bounty Killer. If you do not know him by name you know him by reputation. Bounty is a seasoned veteran performer with many hits and international collaborations with artists such as Damian Marley, No Doubt, The Fugees, Busta Rhymes and others. He has been nominated for grammies and given 4 star ratings by Rolling Stone. One of the more popular factors here in Guyana about Bounty is his rivalry with Beenie Man. Even though they are friends off stage, they are fierce competitors onstage. Bounty is very popular and many can expect great things from him at the Ignition concert… he will be definitely one to start things up for Wildfire and Guyana for 2008!

Sponsors

Even though the economy is challenging right now and not many sponsors are on board, we do recognize the need for consistent high quality entertainment. With Carifesta not too far off, we feel that the timing for our first concert is just right so that people can come out and have a great night of entertainment. We would like to thank:
Ansa Mcal through their product Carib Beer , F&H Printing who will be printing all fliers and posters,

Caribbean Airlines, White Castle Fish Shop, Facts N Roses

Promotions

Our sound systems are Lionhear, SLingerz, Stereosonics, and Fusion. We will be having many promotions where people can win prizes such as cd’s and tickets in the coming weeks. People just need to have their ears and eyes open. We will be doing our artist sing-a-like competition, 98.1 hot fm radio call in program, dance off competitions, and others. Also, the Wildfire Productions team will be randomly visiting parties, and events to host competitions on the premise. So party fans will all have opportunities.

Other information

Tickets will be on sale in approximately 1 week and advance tickets are $3,000.00 while VIP will be $10,000.00. More information on early birds can be given by calling 623-8675, 642-8990 or emailing [email protected]. Persons can also visit our website www.wildfiregy.com.
